Hello, I am Zahra Bensaidane

Environmental Designer based in Montreal.

I am an environmental designer with a deep commitment to creating innovative, durable solutions that address the large-scale challenges of urban planning, architectural design to the finer details of object design. By blending structured thinking and creativity, I tackle issues from the city level down to individual spaces and objects, each time aiming for solutions that are not only functional but also visually engaging and sustainable.
My journey into design has given me a unique perspective on architecture and urban planning. I am driven to develop spaces that respond to clients' needs while also considering environmental impact and community well-being. This holistic approach, fostered during my studies at UQAM School of Arts, empowers me to see each project as a puzzle to solve, integrating thoughtful design with practical, real-world applications.
Alongside my design skills, I am passionate about coding and digital tools, which I leverage to bring complex ideas to life. From creating intricate models to designing this very website, which I coded from scratch, I constantly push myself to bridge the gap between technical and creative fields. My GitHub profile includes examples of my work in this area, underscoring my dedication to a seamless fusion of digital and physical realms.
My experience spans large-scale urban plans, where I analyze spatial dynamics and infrastructure, down to crafting detailed, innovative objects. I strive to shape spaces that enhance urban environments while being aesthetically compelling, creating a positive impact at every scale of design. Through my hands-on, artisanal projects, I bring my concepts to life in tangible forms that resonate on both a practical and sensory level, constantly redefining the boundaries of what thoughtful, creative design can achieve.
